At Pax House we are proud of our eclectic wine list combining classics with carefully selected special wines from both Old and New World, for enjoyment in our lounge, in your bedroom or on our terrace.

Here’s to the corkscrew, a useful key to unlock the storehouse of wit, the treasures of laughter, the front door of fellowship and gate of pleasant jolly.

Red Wines

  • Domaine Ventenac Merlot 2015 Languedoc, France

    Using grapes from their 120 hectares in Rioja Altaand Rioja Alavesa. Aromas to blackberry and bilberry together with spicy tones (clove and cinnamon) from the American oak-tree, mild tobacco and light balsamic notes. The Tempranillo variety showing its typical elegance and complexity.

  • Finca Sophenia Reserve Malbec 2016 Mendoza, Argentina

    Grown at an altitude of 400 feet, these pristine Malbec grapes are hand harvested before being submitted to a strict selection process. Aged in French oak barrels for ten to twelve months, the wine has complex aromas of plums, ripe cherries and violets. Smooth, powerful and ultimately, massively satisfying.

  • Forrest Estate Pinot Noir 2014 Marlborough, New Zealand

    Aged 10 months in 20% new French oak barriques. The bouquet is elegantly proportioned and tightly packed with deep aromas or ripe, blackberry and cherry fruit with raspberry liqueur, dark herb, spicy herb and nutty complexities. Medium-full bodied, concentrated and sweetly rich fruit flavours of dark red berry fruit, raspberry liqueur and liquorice feature on the palate.

  • Château Chante Alouette 2012 St. Emilion Grand Cru, Bordeaux, France

    A classic blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabinet Franc. This 2012 vintage reveals flavours of fresh red berries, mocha and a hint of spice. In the mouth it has a good structure and offers fruit, generous body with finesse and a remarkable silkiness. This is a very pleasant wine, perfectly vinified and with good persistence and character, woody. In the mouth, fresh and rich, mellowed tannins with great intensity.

White Wines

    It belongs to 4 brothers and sisters who are real “vine growers”. Fresh and vibrant zesty flavours with a long finish.

    This winery located in the foothills of the Dolomites boasts 400 years of experience. A mix of tradition, innovation and history contribute to the success of this family run business. This Pinot Grigio has a bouquet of tropical fruits with hints of lemon and pineapple. What Pinot Grigio should taste like!

    Fermented and aged 100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve all of the zesty fruit and mineral qualities that fine Mâcon should exhibit. The chardonnay fruit is 100% hand-harvested (a rarity in the region) and attention to detail at every level make this one of the purist, most satisfying white burgundies in its class.

    The Dezat family is one of the oldest wine-growing families in Sancerre, dating back to 1550. With grapes harvested at peak maturity, which enable the development of aromas of fresh cut grass, white flowers, citrus and exotic fruits, infused throughout with the typical Sancerre elegance and mineral character.
