Behind Every Face, There’s Another Discovery.
Elaine Waters
What is the first thing that you notice about a person?
How they greet my dog.
What’s the most spontaneous thing you have ever done?
Opened my workshop in Dingle. The idea went from a notion to my first customer in less than two weeks, in August.
What is something that most people learn only after it’s too late?
To savour the moment.
Which of your personality traits has been the most useful?
Attention to detail.
If you could ask your pet three questions what would they be?
What was that? Why did you eat it? Any regrets?
If I asked you at 5 what you wanted to be when you grow up what would you say?
A vet
What is your most important tool? Is there something you can’t live without in your studio?
My stitching clams.
What makes you laugh no matter what?
The video of the sneezing baby panda (mostly the look on his mum's face). If you haven't seen it, google it now.
What always makes you smile?
My animals.
Favourite or most inspirational place?
The hill above Dingle, Cnoc an Cairn. There's a rock at the end of the ridge I like to sit on, I call it the 'Stone of Contemplation'.
What do you usually follow when making decisions, your head or your heart?
My head, I'm afraid.
What is the best to start the day?
A walk with the dog, no matter the weather.
What did you think was cool when you were young but isn’t cool now?
Dirt bikes.
What are most people surprised to learn about you?
I write with my left hand, but I use most of my tools with my right.
